Something Sweet Is Coming to South St. Pete: Mullet’s Fish Camp Team to Open Dessert and Wine Lounge
Jules Transactions Is Here to Keep You in the Know—And Something Sweet Is Headed to South St. Pete
At Jules Transactions, we don’t just report what’s happening—we celebrate it, especially when it’s happening right here in the city we love. So when we heard that our seafood soulmates over at Mullet’s Fish Camp were up to something across the street, we grabbed our forks and our curiosity.
Spoiler alert: it’s dessert. And wine. And it’s going to be so South St. Pete.
The team behind Mullet’s is transforming the old Coquina Meat Market space at 3910 6th St. S. into a cozy, community-driven dessert and wine lounge, and we’re already planning our grand opening outfits. Expected to open by the end of 2025, this new spot is all about slowing down, sipping up, and treating yourself.
From Parking Lot to Post-Dinner Paradise
What started as a practical plan for extra parking quickly morphed into a sweet idea that felt so right. Co-owner Nick Brown said it best: “We just wanted a place for people to park—then we realized we could do something way more fun.”
And honestly? He nailed it.
This new space will offer:
Made-from-scratch sweets like small-batch ice creams, nostalgic pies, and cakes you won’t want to share.
Curated wines and beers that make you feel fancy but still totally at home.
Lounge vibes so comfy you’ll want to move in—think plush seating, soft lighting, and a playlist that’s part wine bar, part living room hangout.
Smart, Sweet, and So Very St. Pete
Anyone who’s ever waited for a table at Mullet’s on a Friday night knows the struggle (worth it every time). The new lounge is a smart way to extend that experience—without the waitlist stress. It gives dessert and drinks their own space to shine and lets folks keep the good times going, all just a crosswalk away from the main event.
But don’t mistake this for an afterthought. The lounge is being designed as a destination in its own right—somewhere you head for a pre-dinner wine flight or a late-night dessert date that turns into a full-blown catch-up session with neighbors.
Wines That Wow, Sweets That Stick With You
Mullet’s is going all in on quality, especially when it comes to wine. The new spot will feature small-production, boutique bottles—none of that grocery store stuff. These are wines made with love, care, and a little edge.
Expect:
Educational tastings that are more fun than formal.
Wine flights and classes for everyone from total newbies to seasoned swirlers.
Pop-up dessert events that spotlight local bakers, seasonal flavors, and maybe even a wine-and-pie pairing night (please, yes).

Mullet’s Fish Camp: Still Slinging the Sauce and the Good Vibes
If you’re new around here, welcome—but seriously, get yourself to Mullet’s Fish Camp. Set inside a cozy house-turned-seafood-haven, it’s been feeding the soul of South St. Pete with smoked wings (merman sauce alert), flaky fish sandwiches, and those signature “everyone’s invited” vibes.
Live music on the patio? Check. Ice-cold beers under string lights? You bet. Now, with this sweet new addition, they’re leveling up their local legacy.
South St. Pete’s Dessert Scene Just Got Real
This isn’t just a new lounge. It’s a love letter to South St. Pete—its flavor, its flair, and its fantastic people. Whether you’re grabbing a solo slice of pie, joining a wine tasting with your crew, or discovering your new favorite bottle from a winemaker you’ve never heard of, this place will be about connection as much as confections.
